Communities of Focus
While I work with patients from many diverse backgrounds and identities, I have specialized clinical training and experience with several specific communities. Each patient brings their own unique collection of lived experiences into the space, and honoring that is essential to the therapeutic process.
LGBQPA+
I am dedicated to providing affirming, inclusive, and evidence-based mental health care in a space where every patient is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. I have experience working with individuals across diverse sexual and romantic orientations and strive to create an environment where patients feel comfortable exploring and discussing their identities, attractions, and relationships.

Gender Diversity
I work with individuals across a wide range of gender identities and expressions and provide gender-affirming mental health care that honors each person’s unique lived experience. I recognize the impact of gender minority stress and strive to create a supportive environment where patients feel safe asking questions, exploring their experiences, and making informed decisions about their care.

Intersex
I work with individuals from the intersex community and recognize the diversity of experiences, identities, and perspectives. I believe ethical care requires respect for bodily autonomy and informed consent, principles that physicians have frequently ignored in regard to this community. I support delaying medically unnecessary, irreversible interventions until individuals can meaningfully participate in decisions about their own bodies.

Relationship Diversity
I am knowledgeable about diverse relationship orientations and structures, including polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, and relationship anarchy. These are valid relationship frameworks that allow many people to build meaningful, fulfilling lives. My approach is open-minded and non-judgmental, with a focus on understanding each person’s unique relationships, values, and goals.

Kink & BDSM
I am a kink/BDSM knowledgeable physician who recognizes consensual kink as a valid expression of identity, intimacy, and sexuality rather than viewing it as inherently pathological. My approach is grounded in informed consent, open communication, and attention to both physical and emotional safety. I strive to create a non-judgmental space where patients feel comfortable discussing their experiences, relationships, and mental health needs.

Neurodiversity
As a neuroaffirming physician, I recognize neurodiversity as a natural part of human variation in thinking, learning, communicating, and experiencing the world. I do not view neurodivergence as something that needs to be cured, but rather as an aspect of identity that deserves understanding and respect. My goal is to appreciate each person’s unique strengths, challenges, and perspectives while providing care that supports autonomy, reduces stigma, and promotes authentic well-being.

Disability & Chronic Illness
I work with many individuals who are disabled, medically complex, and/or living with chronic illness. I recognize that mental well-being is shaped by many interconnected factors, including physical health, chronic pain or fatigue, access to accommodations, and interactions with healthcare and social systems. I strive to create a more accessible practice by offering virtual appointments, a flexible cancellation policy, and dedicated sliding scale spots. I am COVID-19 conscious.

Trauma History
I provide trauma-informed mental health care and often work with individuals whose experiences of trauma began in early childhood. I recognize that early experiences and ongoing challenges can shape self-identity, emotional regulation, relationships, and the ways people navigate the world. I have also received additional training to support survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. My approach prioritizes collaboration, empowerment, to support healing and resilience.

Size Diversity
I provide body-inclusive mental health care that recognizes health and well-being as multidimensional and deeply personal. My approach emphasizes respect, body autonomy, and freedom from weight stigma while supporting patients in developing a more compassionate relationship with their bodies, behaviors, and mental health. People seem to feel pressured to make themselves smaller in a world where every person deserves to take up space and be treated with dignity.
